The largest Fisher anvil collection in the world
Joshua A. Kavett is the owner of the Fisher & Norris Factory Museum, and has amassed the world’s largest collection of Fisher anvils and products. His collection currently contains over 500 anvils, including the only complete collection of every weight of Fisher anvil ever sold.
After Fisher & Norris/Crossley Machine Company ceased production in 1979, all of the patterns, tools, and artifacts from the business sat unused in dusty rooms. In the spring of 1999, Joshua learned the address of the factory and decided out of curiosity to see if it still existed. He arrived mere months before the factory was demolished, and rescued hundreds of objects that otherwise would have been lost forever. He has spent the last twenty years researching the company, building a collection of Fisher anvils, and constructing a physical museum.
